Stinky dog bed?
My dogs bed even after being clean still has a smelly doggy odour. Does anyone know how to remove this odour other than washing it? It is a hessian bed and a sheepskin blanket. I have thought of putting lavender oil on there but I’m unsure of the safety of aromatherapy and dogs?
no perfumes or chemicals should be used around any domestic pet.
buy a new squirt bottle. fill it with some water and put about a 1/4cup to 1/2 cup of vinegar depending on the size of the bottle. spray on the bedding. wash the the dog beds with a small amount of suave clarifying shampoo and vinegar. use the vinegar in the rinse cycle. vinegar is a great odor killer, disinfectant and will soften up fabrics. yes it really works.
it’s wonderful and i have to was a very expensive blanket set i got in this mix because the fabric will absorb any grease from fabric softeners.
