PCOS: What are my chances?
I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and have to wait quite a while to see a fertility specialist to help us out (we’ve been trying to conceive for 14 months). I have bought ‘The PCOS Diet Book’ and plan on following it as best I can, as well as taking all the suggested vitamins, minerals and supplements (ie, a prenatal vitamin, a B-complex vitamin, chromium, Angus Castus, Flax seed and selenium). We will also begin to practice massage using aromatherapy to improve fertility as well as reduce stress for both of us. I am also adding a daily exercise plan. How much will this help my chances as a PCOS sufferer between now and my specialist appointment? Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
I haven’t been given any medication as yet, waiting to see the specialist….none of these herbs or supplements are ‘unusual’. All are dietary supplements except Angus Castas and it is a very common herb as well, you can buy it at the pharmacy.
I had polycystic ovaries after second child but with medication and weight loss of around 8kg we conceived only 3 months later. Good luck, it will happen for you x x x
